By simply tweaking a few settings, you can save more than 40% of your battery life!

Hello! We’ve all had those frustrating moments when our smartphone battery dies unexpectedly. By simply tweaking a few settings, you can save more than 40% of your battery life! Here are several hidden settings you should know about.

1. Set to "LTE Preferred" instead of 5G (Saves up to 15%) In areas with unstable 5G signals, your phone constantly switches networks, which drains a tremendous amount of power. Switching to LTE keeps your battery usage much more stable.

  • How to set up: Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network mode, and select LTE preferred (or LTE/3G/2G auto connect).

2. Switch to Dark Mode (Saves up to 15%) OLED displays turn off individual pixels to display black. Activating Dark Mode alone significantly reduces screen power consumption.

  • How to set up: Go to Settings > Display, and select Dark.

3. Adjust Screen Brightness and Timeout (Saves up to 10%) The display is the number one consumer of battery power. Simply reducing the time your screen stays unnecessarily turned on makes a huge difference.

  • How to set up: Go to Settings > Display, turn on Adaptive brightness, and lower the Screen timeout to 30 seconds or 1 minute.

4. Limit Background Activity for Unused Apps (Saves up to 10%) This stops invisible background apps from running in real-time and constantly consuming power.

  • How to set up: Go to Settings > Battery > Background usage limits, and put rarely used apps into sleep or deep sleep mode.

5. Restrict GPS Location Accuracy and Notifications (Saves up to 5%) Prevent unnecessary power drain by limiting continuous GPS scanning and background location services.

  • How to set up: Go to Settings > Location > Location services, disable Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth scanning, and change app location permissions to "Allow only while using the app."

6. Disable "Nearby Device Scanning" (Saves up to 3%) This saves power by stopping your phone from constantly scanning for nearby Bluetooth devices or smart appliances.

  • How to set up: Go to Settings > Connections > More connection settings, and turn off Nearby device scanning.

Tip: If you can't find a specific setting, use the search icon (magnifying glass) at the top of the Settings menu!

Bonus Tip for Battery Longevity: To maintain long-term battery health, keep your charge level between 20% and 80%, and avoid playing high-performance games or watching videos while charging, as heat is the biggest enemy of battery lifespan.

Try updating these settings in order of priority today and protect your phone's battery!

Thank you!
