While reading the newspaper, an article caught my eye like an arrow hitting a bullseye. The headline read:
"The Common Trait of Truly Wealthy People in Banpo Apartments... They Don't Drink This"
What are the common traits of the truly wealthy, and what exactly don't they drink?This article gained explosive sympathy and was published based on a post by a restaurant owner in a Banpo apartment complex. The owner, in their third month of business, shared their observations on an online community for self-employed individuals called "Because It Hurts, I'm a Boss."In Banpo Raemian One Bailey, even apartments under 20 pyeong (about 66 square meters) cost over 3 billion won, making it an extremely expensive neighborhood. The owner noted that residents in this area looked radiant without heavy makeup, as if they had just had a skin treatment. They also had healthy-looking hair, suggesting they take great care of their appearance.Not only do they care about their looks, but most were also polite. There were few overweight or even chubby people, indicating a high level of self-management. Most surprisingly, alcohol sales accounted for only about 2% of the restaurant's revenue, which is just 1/5 of what's typical in other areas. Many other business owners agreed with these observations, leading to the article's publication.Becoming wealthy and living as a wealthy person seems to require strict self-discipline. This article made me reflect on my own complacent and lazy behavior.
