Relationships are like a fireplace

Monk Hyemin once said, "Human relationships are like a fireplace."

When you get close, it's warm, but if you get too close, it's too hot. In the old days, when winter came, coal stoves were placed in school classrooms, and safety guards were installed around the stove. To prevent getting too close... It wasn't until I became older and covered in scars that I realized that all relationships, including marriage, children, and friendships, also needed safety guards. There's originally a safety net in our human relationships. That's the morality and etiquette that our ancestors established. Nowadays, etiquette is being ignored, and rationality and commercialism are being prioritized. But someday, after we've all become scarred, we'll realize that our safety net was meant to be a set with the fireplace. Have you set up your safety net?
